Our travel plans may be on hold due to Coronoavirus, but there are snippets of joy to be had. The internet provides many armchair travelling experiences if you know where to look. Here’s some of my favourites:
Watch the most exciting moments across the world with live web cams. It’s not easy to know the best time to check live feeds, so explore.org/livecams is a great place to start. It has previews of all their live feeds, so you can see where the action is and click into it.
Use Google Earth to explore the whole world, from the remote arctic to the most iconic cities. If you’re overwhelmed with choice and need inspiration, go to the ‘Voyager’ feature.
Immerse yourself in culture with a virtual tour. Many venues are offering their own online tours – from a guided video tour of Buckingham Palace to a self guided exploratory tour of the Louvre in Paris.
